Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government not to remove Road Equivalent Tariff (RET) for freight vehicles that would lead to an increase in fares for commercial traffic to and from the Western Isles and to conduct a socio-economic impact study before any policy changes.

12 November 2013: The Committee agreed to close the petition, under Rule 15.7, on the basis that a study on the impact of the removal of RET has been conducted, and a working group will review large commercial vehicle fares.
