Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to review the considerable research into the thinking that underpins the approach to managing the contribution from staff that has been undertaken over the past decades and compare this with the assumptions that underpins existing management practice; and subsequently to use the findings to ensure that it harnesses the talent of its staff.

6 November 2013: The Local Government and Regeneration Committee considered a petition by Mr Gordon Hall on behalf of The Unreasonable Learners, on harnessing the undoubted talent of public sector staff. The Committee noted its prior consideration of the petition as part of the Public Services Report at Strand 3 and that issues raised by the petition will form part of its ongoing investigations.
