The Committee agreed to write to Lord Holmes of Richmond, local authorities, the Scottish Government, Heads of Planning Scotland, Sustrans, the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland, the Royal Town Planning Institute Scotland and the Association of Provinces of the Netherlands. 21 November 2019: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Scottish Government is currently undertaking work to develop new guidance on shared space schemes, of which the petitioner is engaged in.
