The Essential Dedicated Service

ICSSS (In Care Survivor Service Scotland) is a lifeline to those who experienced in care abuse. Providing locally based development workers across Scotland to offer survivors and their families support, advocacy and confidential counselling.

The staus quo must be kept for the benefit of present day people who are using the service where trust has been built up by repretation and can be passed on

The service has and is benefitting alot of individuals. To change the service would be detrimental to these individuals and could trigger similar feelings of not being heard whilst in care.

The trust and confidence survivors have built in the service over the past years speaks for itself and is underlined by their deep concern that this service would not be available for other survivors in the future.

It must be kept, load of people are and would be still benefited by it !! Life is hard enough for those affected and they must have this support for as long as they need it !!

Without in care survivors . Survivors would b lost in a world of their own . In care survivors give the survivors what they need. Understanding . Hope n counciling for as long as u may need it. N most of all reassurance . In care survivors must carry on for the next generation who will need their help.

I have the right to receive this service.Removing it is a failure by Govt Duty Of Care and Breach of my Human Rights as a Vulnerable Adult.

ICSSS is valuable and a much needed support network for survivors to access and talk about their individual experiences which is vital. Replacing this with a signposting service will inhibit this process and leave many vulnerable people with nowhere to go for support.

This dedicated service has been built and developed over several years and encompasses not only direct service users but multi strand affected parties thereby maximising the outreach potential. The complication of access to or cessation of this vital dedicated service would, I strongly believe be an extremely myopic decision. The fallout for survivors regarding years of trust building, a safe place, and continuing support, plus future potential users, would be catastrophic. Please think this through in the long term.
