PE01753: Moratorium on the roll out of 5G technology

I've read the SPICe 'Briefing' and I think it is rather thin on detail - using indistinct language about the technology and "possible" effects. Surely we need facts based on good science and independent medical opinion about the actual effects. I have yet to come across any report that states that 5G is SAFE??? If there is one then please put it on display for all the public to see. Finally, why is there an ever increasing amount of independent scientists and medical professional calling for a halt to it's roll-out. Over 220 so far, from over 40 countries. No one has addressed these FACTS. I do not want to increase the possibility of myself or others getting Cancer. Regards the use of mice and rats in test - that does not invalidate the results from the Peer Review Study which concluded that there was "Clear Evidence of Carcinogenic Effect" For over 40 years rats & mice have been used to test many things - vaccine, pharmaceutical development etc etc. So no argument there. I clearly state that 5G and its augmentation (untested) with other telecommunication radiations is harmful and we are the test subjects. Look up these 2 things : The Nuremberg Code and The Precautionary Principle. Nothing should be foisted upon an unknowing population without there consent, especially if there is any doubt as to its safety and outcome effect.

This really is the stupidest thing we have ever done as a species! No safety studies, no consideration of the harms created by previous technology and no proper consultation with the public, either.

3g and 4g are damaging to the microbiome and brain wave states and also our subconscious mind. The evidence is compelling. Shut it down or get debilitating illness. It's that simple.

In view of the research work being carried out at the moment into health hazards of 5G I am very alarmed that the Scottish Government plans to go ahead with this plan and ask that there be a moratorium for the moment.

I spent five years running the trade association for UK business to business telecommunications providers. We heard a great deal about how the public is clamouring for 5G. Much less about the ubiquitous infrastructure which will be required to enable it. Short-range high frequency radio signals will, effectively, require a repeater on top of every lamp-post, and several within each internal fire compartmented area within buildings. Given Scotland's unhappy experience with even 'super-fast' broadband outside densely populated areas, there is a real risk of furthering the haves vs have-nots divide.
