Summary

25 November 2020: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Public Information Disclosure Act 1998 (PIDA) is strengthened in Scotland by additional whistleblowing measures including; the role of Non-Executive Whistleblowing Champions, a confidential advice line, and the new role of the Independent National Whistleblowing Officer, which will be undertaken by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman.
