The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, NHS Blood and Transplant, the British Transplantation Society, the British Medical Association Scotland and NHS boards. 10 March 2015: The Health and Sport Committee considered a petition by Caroline Wilson, on behalf of the The Evening Times and Kidney Research UK (Scotland), calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to introduce an opt-out system of organ donation in Scotland to help save more lives.
