Previous Action

Due to the number of complaints in representations made to the planning authority concerning lack of neighbour notification, discussions were held with a Principal Planning Officer and the Planning and Building Standards Manager of East Renfrewshire Council who both agreed the neighbour notification distance of 20m for wind turbine planning applications was inadequate They offered support and advised on procedure.

Jackson Carlaw MSP was approached and suggested it was an ideal matter for a public petition.

Planning Aid were consulted and they advised administration costs would be an important determining factor.
