Written Submissions:

Signing this petition is the right thing to do economically, sustainably and ethically..

We used to be excellent with this, my late father was disabled and couldn't even obtain a disabled parking permit! Perhaps they thought he would grow another leg, having left his in Germany back in 1945.

It is vital this petition is successful to enable disabled people to play an active part in their local communities and not be isolated in inaccessible houses or in residential care.

I know people who have been trapped for over a year in their home because there is no ramp. It's time everyone has access to both the outside world and every room in their house.

10% accessibility housing should be an absolute minimum when investing in a future ageing population. We need to be building infrastructure now for the future.

It is a disgrace the lack of adapted houses. I wholeheartedly support this petition.

Too much power lies with Occupational Therapists who seem to suggest very few options for house adaptations. Hopefully, more accessible housing will help, but, even if this petition is successful, it won't help those who can't afford to buy a new house as many will still have to remain in unsuitable housing due to high rents for adapted accommodation.
